Workshop on Research with Animals Containing Human Cells

The purpose of this workshop is to explore the state of the science and animal welfare issues with regard to research involving the introduction of human pluripotent cells into early vertebrate nonhuman embryos and the introduction of human neural stem cells or neural progenitor cells into vertebrate nonhuman embryos or fetuses, as well as ensuring the responsible conduct of research in these areas. Perspectives will be presented by individuals from around the globe who collectively have a broad range of expertise in relevant scientific areas, animal welfare, and bioethics.
