NIH Data Sharing Policies (ASHG Conference)

THIS EVENT IS RESERVED FOR PARTICIPANTS ATTENDING THE AMERICAN SOCIETY FOR HUMAN GENETICS (ASHG) ANNUAL CONFERENCE. YOU MUST BE REGISTERED TO ATTEND THE ASHG ANNUAL MEETING TO REGISTER FOR THIS SESSION

NIH has a longstanding commitment to making the results of NIH-funded research available. Sharing data accelerates biomedical research discovery, in part, by enabling validation of research results, providing accessibility to high-value datasets, and promoting data reuse for future studies. This session is intended to give an overview of NIH’s data sharing policies focusing on the NIH Genomic Data Sharing Policy and the NIH Data Management and Sharing Policy. This is a great opportunity for ASHG attendees to meet experts from NIH and ask questions about NIH data sharing policies.

Speakers: Cheryl Jacobs, Ph.D., Assistant Director for Genomics and Data Access, National Institutes of Health, Office of Science Policy and Danyelle Winchester Ph.D., Health Science Policy Analyst, National Institutes of Health, Office of Science Policy.

For additional information about NIH Data Sharing Policies visit: https://sharing.nih.gov/.
