Susan Diggs
Program Manager
Susan Diggs is a Program Manager within the NIH Office Science Policy and is responsible for developing and delivering key administrative support services to the Associate Director for Science Policy, the Deputy Director, and the directors of each of OSP’s operating divisions. In this role, Susan develops strategies to address broad and complicated administrative support functions related to budgetary and financial management services; purchasing, procurement, contract administration; facilities and property safety, and space management.
Prior to her role in the Office of Science Policy, Ms. Diggs worked in the Office of Technology Transfer, NIH, where she served as the Records Manager, Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) Coordinator, and Privacy Coordinator. Before joining NIH, Ms. Diggs spent 18 years at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS). During her time at USUHS, Ms. Diggs performed a variety of duties to include serving as the Director of Review and Evaluation, which is responsible for oversight of university operations to ensure effectiveness and efficiency of operations, and she also served as the Assistant Inspector General. In her role as the Assistant Inspector General, she provided findings for critical studies in response to the immediate Office of the Secretary of Defense, Assistant Secretary of Defense, Health Affairs, Inspector General, or Congressional concerns relating to Department of Defense programs.
