NIH Director Dr. Jay Bhattacharya has announced that the agency has accepted the Novel and Exceptional Technology and Research Advisory Committee (NExTRAC) recommendations for engaging the public as partners in NIH-supported clinical research.  The full report of the NExTRAC, including its recommendations can be viewed here.

Leveraging these recommendations, NIH announced it will begin a policy development process for the return of research results to clinical research participants and published its agency-wide principles to foster, promote, and guide the responsible conduct of research using clinical data.
