Scientific Reporting

The dissemination of research advances and activities funded by the NIH is vital to the biomedical research system to encourage scientific collaboration, engage the public, and support NIH transparency and accountability.  The Office of Scientific Management and Reporting leads the development of a wide range of reports for Congress, the public and other stakeholders addressing a variety of NIH-wide accomplishments and initiatives.  Many of these reports are required for the annual federal appropriations process, or otherwise mandated by federal law such as the NIH Biennial Report which describes NIH biomedical and behavioral research, activities, and priorities, and the Report on NIH Collaboration with Other Agencies which identifies NIH collaborations with other HHS offices and agencies.
