Stakeholder Teleconference on NIH Workshop on Clinical Trial Enrollment
The National Institutes of Health (NIH) will hold a teleconference with interested stakeholders from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. EST on Friday, May 16, 2014 in order to hear perspectives on issues related to the enrollment and retention of research participants in NIH-funded clinical trials.
Stakeholder input will be used to inform the planning of an NIH workshop that will focus on optimizing participation in NIH-funded clinical trials that is scheduled to take place July 25, 2014, at the Bethesda North Marriott Hotel & Conference Center, 5701 Marinelli Rd., Bethesda, MD 20852.
Two hundred lines will be available for this teleconference. Stakeholders participating in the teleconference will be asked to provide their names, affiliations, and contact information. Participants are advised to call 10-15 minutes before the start of the teleconference.
In order to accommodate as many perspectives as possible, each individual or organizational representative will be provided up to 2 minutes to address the most important concepts for the upcoming workshop. Because the goal of the teleconference is for NIH to hear your suggestions the hosts will be unable to interact with the callers.
If there is insufficient time for you to provide your comments during the teleconference, you may submit brief remarks to OCRBP-OSP@od.nih.gov. The deadline for written comments is Monday, May 19, at 5 p.m. EST.
Please direct additional questions about the teleconference to: Valery Gordon, Ph.D., M.P.H., Office of Science Policy, NIH; email: email@example.com; 301-496-9838.
