Welcome to the NIH Office of Science Policy (OSP)
  Overview
  The NIH Office of Science Policy (OSP) provides leadership on science policy issues of significance to NIH, the medical research community, and the public, with particular focus on cross-cutting issues. Toward that end, OSP:
  • Analyzes and fosters discourse about the full range of scientific, ethical, legal, social, and safety issues;
  • Identifies emerging policy issues that NIH must address; and
  • Takes into account the concerns of the agency, the scientific community, and the public at large.
